Професор Техаського університету A&M ділиться знаннями та досвідом

Визнаний фахівець в галузі нафтової інженерії, ексочільник (2021) SPE  –   міжнародної некомерційної професійної  організації фахівців нафтової промисловості, професор Техаського університету A&M Томас Бласінгейм (Thomas Blasingame) відвідав Івано-Франківський національний технічний університет нафти і газу з метою поділитись своїм багаторічним досвідом у нафтовій індустрії, знаннями та інсайтами.

Американський професор мав нагоду поспілкуватися з адміністрацією ІФНТУНГ – ректором університету Ігорем Чудиком та проректором з наукової роботи, офіцером Центрально-української секція SPE (SPE Central Ukraine Section) Олександром Кондратом. Були обговорені питання обміну досвідом, переходу на альтернативні джерела енергії. Мабуть найважливіший меседж цієї розмови: нафтова промисловість не буде замінена найближчим часом, а стане невід’ємним  чинником у пришвидшенні процесу енергетичного переходу на альтернативні джерела енергії.  

Томас Бласінгейм обізнаний з діяльністю Студентського відділення SPE ІФНТУНГ, проте, в рамках свого візиту виявив бажання детальніше познайомитись з університетським осередком, підтримати його у ці складні часи та зустрітись для спілкування.

Зустріч відбулась в актовій залі НТБ.   Привітав американського гостя директор Інституту нафтогазової інженерії, офіцер Центрально-української секції SPE Олег Витязь.

Для студентів-членів SPE проф. Томас Бласінгейм зробив доповідь з презентацією, перша частина якої стосувалась розвитку нафтової промисловості у США, а друга – технічна лекція з тестування свердловин.

Американський професор взяв також участь у VI Міжнародному паливному конгресі та у роботі Міжнародного нафтогазового форуму«НАФТОГАЗОВА ЕНЕРГЕТИКА - 2023».

Professor of Texas A&M University shares his knowledge and experience

Thomas Blasingame, a recognized petroleum engineering expert, ex-president (2021) of SPE, an international non-profit professional organization of petroleum industry professionals, visited Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas to share his many years of experience in the petroleum industry, knowledge and insights. 

The American professor had an opportunity to talk to the administration of IFNTUOG, including Rector of the Univesrsity Ihor Chudyk and Vice-Rector for Research, SPE Central Ukraine Section Officer Oleksandr Kondrat. They discussed the exchange of experience and the transition to alternative energy sources. Perhaps the most important message of this conversation is that the petroleum industry will not be replaced in the near future, but will become an integral factor in accelerating the process of energy transition to alternative energy sources. 

Thomas Blasingame is aware of the activities of the SPE Student Chapter of IFNTUOG, but during his visit he wanted to learn more about the University Chapter, support it in these difficult times and meet for communication.

The meeting was held in the assembly hall of the Scientific and Technical Library.   The American guest was greeted by Oleh Vytyaz, Director of the Institute of Petroleum Engineering, the SPE Central Ukrainian Section Officer.

For the SPE students, Professor Thomas Blasingame made a presentation, the first part of which concerned the development of the petroleum industry in the United States, and the second part was a lecture on well testing.

In addition, Professor Thomas Blasingame took part in the International Oil and Gas Forum “Oil and Gas Energy 2023”, in particular, in the VI International Fuel Congress.
