A startup in the field of material production begins with a workshop equipped with manufacturing tools and equipment. The implementation of an idea requires the skills to use the necessary tools and, at times, the support of like-minded people. We strive to help bring bold ideas to life.
We offer a new approach to learning:
You define what you want to create — a tangible object (artistic or technological) using mechanics and electronics.
Together with you, we think through the project, determine what you need to know and be able to do in order to safely and effectively implement your idea, and offer you the opportunity to confirm your knowledge and skills or to learn what is new for you.
You produce a model/mockup/product together with our mentors.
The Center for Innovative Development (CID) is:
- a place with equipment and tools ready for work;
- a team of experts and like-minded people who will help implement your idea at a modern level;
- a wide base of suppliers of materials and electronic components.
Modern manufacturing works with digital models. Creating an electronic model of a prototype should begin with the use of a 3D scanner.
The Shining3D EinScan-SP scanner allows scanning a model with dimensions of 200 × 200 × 200 mm using a rotating table, and up to 1200 × 1200 × 1200 mm using markers in manual mode.
FDM 3D printer Vernerfab i3 – PLA plastics, model size 190 × 190 × 190 mm, open корпус.
FDM 3D printer XYZprinting Da Vinci 1.0 Pro – PLA/ABS plastics, model size 200 × 200 × 200 mm.
SLA 3D printer XYZprinting Nobel 1.0 – laser resin printing, model size 125 × 125 × 200 mm.
Three-axis milling machines and a turning–milling machine expand the possibilities of reproducing models not only from plastic but also from wood and soft metals.
Small milling machines:
- working area 200 × 300 × 50 mm, spindle power 0.2 kW, rotation speed up to 8000 rpm;
- working area 380 × 580 × 60 mm, spindle power 1.5 kW, rotation speed up to 24,000 rpm;
- working area 410 × 300 × 75 mm, spindle power 1.5 kW, rotation speed up to 24,000 rpm.
Large milling machine:
- working area 1100 × 800 × 250 mm, spindle power 3.2 kW, rotation speed up to 24,000 rpm.
Turning–milling machine:
- maximum length 1400 mm, maximum diameter 300 mm,
- main drive spindle power 2.5 kW, milling spindle power 3.2 kW,
- milling spindle speed up to 22,800 rpm.
Among various cutting methods, laser cutting/engraving and plasma cutting stand out. Plastic and wooden parts (up to 20 mm thick, maximum size 900 × 1450 mm) can be easily and precisely cut or engraved by a laser machine (CO₂ laser, 130 W). Metal parts (various metals up to 15 mm thick) are processed using a plasma cutter (working area 1500 × 1500 mm).
Functional and decorative vinyl stickers can be made using a cutting plotter (working width 420 mm).
Workbenches equipped with various tools, an assembler’s workstation with soldering stations, and a set of handheld power tools significantly simplify manual work. The availability of a compressor and pneumatic painting tools allows your products to be given a finished, professional appearance. All the equipment of the CID and the expertise of specialists can be used by registering your idea in the information system or by joining one of the projects already registered there.
