Students from the Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas from different countries (Angola, Ghana, Ecuador, Egypt, Iraq, Cameroon, Nigeria, Uzbekistan), various specialties (ecologists, managers, engineers) and different courses have all been united by Vyshyvanka (Ukrainian embroidery).
The celebration of the Ukrainian Embroidery or Vyshyvanka Day for more than 10 years has become a great event, celebrated far beyond our country. This year, more than 60 countries around the world have joined the celebration.
For students studying in IFNTUOG, life in Ukraine is the best time they will always remember. It should be noted that more than 500 students from 42 countries of Europe, Asia, Africa are currently enrolled at our institution of education. Therefore, the administration and university teachers are doing their best to help students adapt to the linguistic and cultural environment. For them, all the necessary conditions for learning, creative growth, leisure and cultural development are created. Internatioal students understand support and, in turn, respect and love Ukrainian language and culture. Ukrainian Embroidery Day is no exception!
According to international students, when they wear Ukrainian embroidery, they feel unity and belonging to a single Ukrainian nation. In addition, the bright colors of our embroideries resemble the colors of their native countries.
